How I Got the Shot
Goliath on the Bow was taken September 15th, 2013 while diving the wreck of The Castor in Boynton Beach Florida.
This underwater photograph of aggregating Goliath Groupers was taken with a Nikon D800 camera in a Nauticam housing and Zen dome with Sigma 15mm lens and two Inon Z240 strobes. I used settings of ISO 400, F8 at 1/80.

September 7th, 2013 – Goliath Grouper Dive in Boynton Beach
The second dive on the wreck of the Castor with Underwater Explorers on September 7th, 2013 was Epic.
One of the largest feeding frenzy’s I have ever witnessed, the jacks moved in on the bait balls surrounding the Goliath Groupers and it erupted.
Large school of Crevalle Jack showed up, large Bull Shark was cruising and a 10 foot Tiger Shark joined the party. I watched one Goliath gulping the bait fish.
Going back today for a double dip of more excitement!
